SLA

This is the most useful 7SIGNAL report. It tells you if you are hitting the target performance of every network, band and service area according to the key performance indicators you select.

End to End

Identifying a single access point with issues can be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. In this video we’ll show you how to measure the performance of each access point from end-to-end to quickly identify your issue.

Channels

The biggest interferer of Wi-Fi is other Wi-Fi. But how do you know where these “noisy neighbors” live? Use the Channels tab to identify them.

Frames

Not only is the Sapphire Eye a high performance client, but its also a Wi-Fi sensor and packet sniffer. Check out everything you can learn about your Wi-Fi environment when you measure what’s happening over the air.

Data Rates

Data rates determine your clients’ speed and low data rates are typically caused by two things: a high amount of retries due to interference in the air, and a client’s capabilities. Older, single-stream clients that aren’t capable of going fast may be causing unnecessary congestion on your Wi-Fi network. Learn how to identify it.

Spectrum

Every Sapphire Eye contains a spectrum analyzer which helps us hear or “see” interference in the air. The spectrum analyzer identifies Wi-Fi interference (co-channel, adjacent channel), and external interference from sources such as Bluetooth. All forms of interference lead to retries and lower data rates. In some cases, particularly on the 2.4 GHz spectrum band, interference makes it impossible to use Wi-Fi reliably. Once we identify interference, we have two choices: remove it or avoid it.
